U2 Live at Brandenburg Gate

2009-11-15 |

U2 performs a free concert at the Brandenburg Gate to mark the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. The performance is part of the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards. One, Magnificent, Sunday Bloody Sunday, Beautiful Day - Blackbird, Vertigo, Moment of Surrender are the main sets. Both 'One' and 'Magnificent' are slightly abbreviated due to time constraints.

Jay-Z joins in on Sunday Bloody Sunday and does a rap that morphs into a bit of 'Get Up Stand Up.' The first three songs air later during the MTV EMA broadcast. U2 wins Best Live Act during the ceremony.
